HAPPY NEW YEAR
I wish all my friends and readers and residents a Happy New Year.
Make a goal to be fit and healthy throughout the next twelve months. If you have a hangover, here is my favourite recipe. Drink lots of water. Apply crushed ice packs to the thudding head. Take 2 x 500 paracetamol tablets up to four hourly (take minimum). Place the feet in hot water. |
Blood goes from the thudding head to the feet which become red as the head eases! Take 2500 mg vitamin C daily. Also, a vitamin B complex tablet for alcohol dehydrates the brain, and washes vitamin B from the system. Take it regularly for at least January and rest of the year.
Take care when driving. Do not drink and drive. Check tyres, brakes, kids, don’t overload, and go steady on corners. The road belongs to everybody. Avoid road rage, and give way to idiots who toot and flash lights.
If camping, make sure water is OK, refrigerate all foods, and keep it away from flies. Wash hands before preparing food and after visiting the loo and similarly train the kids. Gut bugs run amok in hot weather.
CARE FOR SENIORS
Remember with older parents and rellies, visit our website vimieravillage.com.au Take a virtual tour with me. The village now serves home cooked meals, provides and launders linen and domestic duties, plus round the clock emergency care. Also, access to the indoor heated swimming pool and spa, recreation facilities and lots more. Running costs for the “assisted living” are payable from the pension and government rental allowance, with money left over. There is a modest ingoing contribution 95% refundable. It must be one of the best offers in Australia. It is operated on a non profit basis by Medi Aid Centre Foundation.
Best wishes,
