Hello to all my friends
Winter has come, and now as the days lengthen, the cold strengthens. Here are a few tips to help you cope with the winter season.
Keep warm, keep dry, and keep out of drafts.

Keep away from people who sneeze and cough, and always cover your mouth with hand or hanky if doing the same.
Dry clothes and shoes promptly if soaked. Otherwise body chills and germs rapidly multiply causing symptoms.
Lots of hot drinks (lemon and honey is good). These heat the body, which overcomes germs.
Paracetamol tablets (2 x 500 mgm) three times a day reduces fevers and colds. Simple nasal sprays clear nostrils.
Get some early nights, sleep is the best doctor. Keep away from others for a couple of days. Most colds and coughs settle within seven days. Do not ask for antibiotics.
And by the way, if your senior friends and rellies are seeking comfy accommodation, Vimiera Village at 217 Vimiera Road, Eastwood may be the right spot. Lovely home prepared meals provided, domestic work carried out, weekly linen change. Modest ingoing contribution and running costs more than paid for by the pension and rental allowance.
Contact David on 02 9868 7544, for a chat and make a time to see the lovely village in its gorgeous bushland setting, overlooking the playing fields of Epping Boys High School.
More news and health tips next month.
Sincerely your friend
